PICNIC @ NORFOLK HERITAGE PARK 24 June 2012
Sunny & windy day = Good weather ! :) *but it was still cold out there*
What are you going to do if you're in Malaysia?
Shopping? or stay at home?
But when we are in Sheffield, we go P-I-C-N-I-C :)
Norfolk is a public park located to the south of Sheffield City Centre, which is also around 10-15 mins walk from Charlotte Court only !!!
It is a NICE place for you to stay closer with the natural !
I didn't try to picnic in Malaysia... Y-E-S ! 21 years already and I never try to picnic in Malaysia ! haha
We decided to go picnic in the last mins and we quickly prepared the food !!
Only the food in our fridge as that was what we could get !! Ha-ha
Luckily we did store up some pizzas and then we oven bake the pizzas, prepared some sandwiches, took out some chips and coke...off we went to the park !! hehe
You have to walk up the slope in order to reach Norfolk, and we chose to go the highest place in Norfolk !
Tired as we had to carry everything up there but the scenery is breathtaking !!!
It was just too awesome to spend our evening there !!
It was more awesome to have our British's friend to go with us :)
We spent almost 2-3 hours there... enjoyed the wind, food and we talked, we took as many photos as we can ! Then it was getting cooler and cooler and the wind was getting stronger too, so we decided to go home !!
Remember to clean up everything before you leave, you don't want to picnic in a dirty place right? :)
It is a wonderful picnic experience in Sheffield !!!
Must go there during your weekends :) It is a great place for you to chill and laugh with your great friends !

OLYMPIC TORCH RELAY IN SHEFFIELD 25 June 2012
We came here at the RIGHT time !!!
2012 Olympic took place in London and we were so lucky to be here to witness the international event !!!
We walked to city centre after the class and the London 2012 Olympic partners (Coca Cola, Samsung, Lloyds TSB, etc) had yet to set up anything yet. However, we could see the performers were busy with their rehearsal around the stage there !
There are ping pong tables in the city centre. Since we had nothing to do so we decided to do some exercises. ;)
I am not good at ping pong !! Was there to chase the ping pong ball only...... haha
However, we had to admit that K is a good ping pong player among our friends here.
Even the local British challenged him !!!

The Olympic Partners slowly setting up their things and city centre was getting more and more crowded already !! Just like a carnival :) So happy & excited !!!
Luckily we were there earlier and we queued up in front of the Coca Cola counter without knowing what are we going to get !! haha

After few mins of waiting, we got a FREE Coca Cola :)

Hence, everyone of us collected both colours which means we had to drink 2 bottles of Coca Cola !! Haha Bloated !
But most importantly we got to take a picture with the torch on the double deck bus !!!
The person in charge would help us to take picture with her camera and then she would give us a card.
We have to go to Coca Cola website and key in the code given on the card to get our pictures :)
Never knew that in my life I would have the chance to hold the torch although the torch is without flame one !!! Still happy :)

The most excited moment of the day !!!!!!
I was walking around, waiting for my friends. Suddenly lisin said : "I saw someone was holding the a ticket and I saw 'Old Trafford' this name on the ticket"
Then I looked carefully, the Samsung's staff gave that guy the Olympic ticket, the venue is Old Trafford !!!
I asked Samsung's staff about the price of the ticket !
He said it is FREE !!!
*Ding* ! Our eyes opened widely and got so excited, in the mean time we were wondering that how are we going to get the tickets.
It is very easy !! We just need to download the SAMSUNG HOPE RELAY apps in our phone, register an account then walk for 1 mile....... Then we will get a FREE Olympic Ticket to watch a football match in Old Trafford !!!
Everyone of us did what he said as soon as possible and BINGO !! We got the tickets !! :D
One person will receive 2 tickets !!!
O-H-M-Y-G-O-D !!! We couldn't believe that we could actually watch any Olympic match as the tickets are quite pricey !!! But we made it !!!

The torch relay started and we decided to stay at the last station to witness the flame !
It is getting more and more crowded there and the weather is good ! A sunny day, but a bit hot ! Hehe
While waiting for the last torchbearer, we got to see the great performance prepared by each Olympic partners.
But I am too short to see the stage, I could only see the screen :(

K & I went for a movie date at Odeon !
Odeon is located beside Adsetts :)
It was Tuesday ! We could buy the movie ticket at a cheaper rate compared to other days ! Just like the GSC back in Malaysia where it has the movie day :)
We bought the ticket at £4.50 each and it was free seating !
We watched The Dark Knight Rises with NO subtitles ! haha
I was having difficulty in understanding what the actors/actresses said ... Bad listening skill :(
I would like to complain that it was so stuffy inside the cinema !
I didn't know why that the air cond was off in the middle of the movie and it turned to be so hot !
I saw someone holding a fan while watching the movie ! haha that's funny !
Anyway, it was a good movie and good day :)

OLYMPIC FOOTBALL GAME @ OLD TRAFFORD 29 July 2012
I thought that I wouldn't have the chance to watch any live Olympic games although I am in England during the Olympic period !

If no, I am gonna say it loud here that SAMSUNG gave us FREE Olympic tickets to watch Olympic football game in Old Trafford !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes readers, it is FREE :)
How excited is that, can you imagine that ? hehe
We took the train to Manchester then we boarded the FREE shuttle bus to Old Trafford !
We didn't know that we were able to watch 2 matches in a single day with a single ticket until someone told us that day !!!
Super duper E-X-C-I-T-E-D !
1st match : Egypt vs New Zealand
2nd match : Brazil vs Belarus
BRAZIL errrrrrrrrrrr !!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
We arrived almost 2 hours earlier as we need to get through security checks and to our seats ! (and we would have plenty of time for photo session :P)
Large bags (over 25 litres), bottles, cans, laser pointer, liquids, aerosols and gels in quantities greater than 100ml, any article that might be used as a weapon and many more are prohibited !!
Luckily we read the visitor information carefully before we went there :)
Before we went through the security checks, we had to empty our pockets and place our belongings, such as keys and mobile phones, into a provided plastic bag.
The security would check our bags and make sure that there are no prohibited things inside our bags. Then, he/she would seal our bags with a big plastic bag.
However, one of them didn't seal up me, Yu En and Fong Yee's bags ... he said that we would be able to get into the stadium with this small size of bags.
Before we entered the stadium, we had to go through body check too ! *strict security check*
The security stopped the 3 of us, asked us to go through the security check and get our bags sealed up with plastic bag first.
What duh ? We had to queue up for the second time just because of their miscommunication ?
Luckily, one of the security helped us and get our bags sealed up very quickly.. Thanks :)
After went through the body check, the security would take off the big plastic bag and return our bags to us ! Phew~~~
Once I got into stadium, I got so excited and ummm.......
I didn't know how to express my feeling in words. So sorry for that !
To cut short, I felt so EXCITED ! haha
I thought that we were going to sit at the back of the stadium !
BUT NO !
SAMSUNG gave us a good seats !!!!!!!

But I could feel the ambiance and got so excited :)
Oh ya, we could see the training session before the match !

So excited and nervous but we had faith in Brazil :)

When Neymar was so near to us, Jack shouted : " Neymar, SKILLS !!! SKILLS !!! "
HAHAHA so so funny !
You could hear everyone shouting BRAZIL BRAZIL BRAZIL all the time during the match !
For the last few minutes,
Brazil managed to score two goals !!!!!!!! WOW !!!!!!
So the final results for the match was Brazil 3 vs 1 Belarus !!!
Wooohoooo~ Brazil, you didn't let your fans down :)

After the match,
we boarded the shuttle bus back to the city centre again !
The London 2012 management is so efficient, we waited for less than 30 mins to board the bus although there was a LONG LONG LONG queue !!!

Heeley Farm 4 August 2012
A sunny Saturday !
Me & K decided to cycle around and then we visited Heeley City Farm in Sheffield !
It took us 5 to 10 mins to cycle to Heeley Farm from Charlotte Court !
Heeley City Farm is a friendly farm and environmental visitor centre in the district of Heeley, Sheffield.
You can see few animals there, from large animals (cows, horses, pigs, goats, etc) to small animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets and more) in Heeley farm !
There are some ducks, chickens, geese and peacock there too !!
Had fun there !

STEAMBOAT @ CHARLOTTE COURT 17 August 2012
We are going to leave Sheffield in about one month time :(
Gonna miss here so much ! Especially the weather !
But not the food ... haha ... I am missing my hometown (Penang, Malaysia) curry mee, char kuoy teow, char kuoy kak, etc...... all the hawker food !
We decided to have a steamboat as our dinner before we go back !
Went to castle market and KH (Chinese shop) to shop for our steamboat ingredients !
Wooohooo~ so excited !
Our ingredients consist of meat, fish balls, wan tan (made by us), mee and lots of vege !!!
Then our soup base are Bak Kut Teh & Tom Yam !
Haha... never try steamboat with Bak Kut Teh right ?
Because we have to clear stocks ! We have a lot of Bak Kut Teh in our cupboard !!! Too many !!! I think we can't finish them before we go back if we didn't use it as steamboat's soup base ! haha
But it taste good :)
Hot hot soup in the summer made everyone of us feel so H-O-T !
Even hotter when 10 of us squeeze in a kitchen ! haha
Really enjoy the time with them !
